TWIGS
TWIGS (Togetherness, Willingness, Imagination, Giving and Sharing) originated with a ladies’ auxiliary group of Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, New York in the late 1800s, and was established at Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) in May 1950. Mrs. John Spencer (Ernie) asked her bridge club to form TWIGS 1. Mrs. Spencer was the first TWIGS Executive Board Chairman and held that office from 1950 to 1953. Seven other TWIGS were also formed at the same time.

Proceeds from all TWIGS projects benefit Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH). Ongoing fundraising projects include:

Since 1950, the TWIGS organization has contributed more than $5.8 million to LMH for equipment needs and capital purchases. Currently, there are four active TWIGS groups:
