Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) recently was recognized as one of HealthCare’s Most Wired™ Hospitals for 2016.  Technology is improving the efficiency of care delivery and creating a new dynamic in patient interactions, according to results of the 18th Annual Health Care’s Most Wired® survey, released by the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Health Forum.  This leading industry benchmarking study measures information technology usage among hospitals nationwide.  The Most Wired Award is given to hospitals that have made great strides in establishing robust clinical information systems aimed at improving patient care and strengthening technology infrastructure to ensure the security and availability of patient information.

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) has been named one of the best workplaces for Women.  Great Place to Work® and Fortune published the Top 100 list after surveying 137,762 women across the nation about gender equality, the quality and authenticity of communications with managers, and equitable pay and promotion practices.  LMHS ranked 88th on the list of national organizations.

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) has been named one of the nation’s 20 Best Workplaces in Health Care.  Earlier today, Fortune and Great Place to Work® released their evaluations after nearly 30,000 healthcare employees in the U.S. responded anonymously to survey questions about their workplace environment.  LMHS is ranked ninth among the nation’s healthcare organizations as a best place to work.

 Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) was recognized by Donate Life Ohio, the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) and the Ohio Department of Health’s Second Chance Trust Fund for taking action to reduce that number during 2014. The hospital was named a Gold Partner in the Midsize Hospital category of the 2013-2014 Hospital Champions program, which aimed to increase or-gan, eye and tissue donor registration. LMHS was one of 46 Ohio hospitals recognized during the 2014 OHA Annual Meeting.

LMHS Honors the Thomas J. Evans Foundation

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is pleased to recognize the Thomas J. Evans Foundation with the Building a Healthier Community Award.  The award is presented each year to an individual, group, or organization in Licking County with a non-profit project or initiative that reflects LMHS’ mission to improve the health of the community.

General Surgeon Brent M. Savage, M.D., has been named 2014 Physician of the Year at Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH).  Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) President & CEO Rob Montagnese announced the award during the annual LMH Medical Staff Reception at Moundbuilders Country Club.

The Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) blood bank earned re-accreditation in 2013 by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB). The AABB assesses blood banks to ensure their quality and operational systems are in compliance with AABB standards, the Code of Federal Regulations and other federal guidelines.

2012 Echocardiography Lab Receives Renewed Accreditation from IAC 2012 Echocardiography Lab Receives Renewed Accreditation from IAC

The Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) Echocardiography Lab was granted re-accreditation in 2012 in the area of Adult Transthoracic and Adult Stress Echocardiography by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).  The IAC reserves this three-year accreditation for facilities that provide quality patient care in compliance with national standards.  A panel of experts completed a thorough review of the LMH Echocardiography Lab’s operational and technical components before granting the re-accreditation.

In 2011, Licking Memorial Hospital’s Cardiology Department received accreditation as a Chest Pain Center with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC).

Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) was surveyed in 2011 by the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) Focused Task Force on Accreditation and awarded accreditation for four years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.  OSMA accreditation seeks to assure both physicians and the public that continuing education activities developed by LMH meet the high standards of the Essential Areas, Elements and Policies of accreditation as specified by the OSMA.  LMH’s continuing medical education program was originally certified in 1975, making it the first institution to be accredited in Ohio.

The Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) Oncology Department was honored as one of only two cancer programs in the state to receive The American College of Surgeons’ (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) 2009 Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA).
