The Licking Memorial Heart Center is staffed by MidOhio Cardiology and Vascular Consultants. Formerly the Heart and Lung Center staffed by Cardiologist Hans Wee, M.D., the new Licking Memorial Heart Center is staffed by physicians who can provide cardiac care including interventional procedures.

Imtiaz Ahmed, M.D., F.A.C.C., received his Medical Degree from Sylhet Medical College in Sylhet, Bangladesh. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cabrini Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Ahmed then completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. An active member of the Licking Memorial Hospital medical staff, Dr. Ahmed is contracted through MidOhio Cardiology and Vascular Consultants (MOCVC). Dr. Ahmed served as assistant professor of medicine at Medical College of Virginia. Prior to joining MOCVC, he served as director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Doctors Hospital – Ohio Health in Columbus, Ohio. |
