Pain Management is a specialty that is dedicated to the effective treatment and control of chronic pain. Your primary care physician (PCP) can successfully treat many painful conditions, however, your PCP may decide to refer you to the Licking Memorial Hospital Pain Clinic if your pain has not improved. We offer a patient-centered practice of progressive pain management procedures performed by an anesthesiologist who will discuss a complete treatment plan with you on your first visit.

Abhay J. Anand, M.D., received his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees at SRTR Medical College in Maharashtra, India. He completed a residency in transitional medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a residency in anesthesiology at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, Inc. (MCWAH) in Milwaukee. He also completed a fellowship in pain management at MCWAH. Dr. Anand is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management. |

Deborah L. Coates, D.O., received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She completed an internship at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital, and an anesthesiology residency at Cafaro Hospital, both in Youngstown, Ohio. She completed a fellowship in pain management at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Coates is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management. |
