Youth of all ages are invited to participate in numerous healthy and fun activities at the ninth annual Health & Fitness Fest, scheduled for Saturday, March 28.  This free event, sponsored by the Buckeye Valley Family YMCA, Denison University and Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS), will be held from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m., at the YMCA Mitchell Center, 470 West Church Street in Newark.

Youth will visit various activity stations located throughout the YMCA including Bubble Soccer, Zumba, yoga, gymnastics, half-mile run, free throw shooting, an obstacle course, bounce house, speed pitch, face painting and balloons.  At each station, participants will collect achievement stickers on their “FitTix” event cards upon completion of a health-related activity.  Those who complete a total of eight activities and health screenings at the event will be entered into a drawing for great fitness prizes.  Health screenings and information tables also will be available.  Youth must be accompanied by an adult.  Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided.
