Licking Memorial Health Systems presents the first Active•Senior Gourmet Gardener event on Tuesday, October 23, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., in partnership with the C-TEC High School Culinary Program at C-TEC, located at 150 Price Road in Newark.  Guests, ages 60 and older, are welcome to attend this free, fun event, which will include activities that teach the basics of gardening and cooking healthy meals.  Participants also will create their own meal to be enjoyed at the end of the event.  Participants will be divided into two groups which will be assigned at the time of registration – one session beginning at 2:00 p.m. and the second at 3:00 p.m.  Registration is required and space is limited to the first 40 guests.  To register, or for more information, call Licking Memorial Public Relations at (220) 564-1560.
