Virtual “For Your Health” 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile Fun Walk

Virtual “For Your Health” 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile Fun Walk The 2021 “For Your Health” 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile Fun Walk will be held virtually beginning Saturday, July 24.  Participants can race remotely on their favorite local routes at a convenient time, while simultaneously competing with others in the same event.  Real-Time Remote Racing will provide the virtual experience using GPS speed and distance to place each runner or walker on The Dawes Arboretum event course, enabling them to track their own position relative to other participants.  Custom audio prompts will guide runners and walkers through the race, and the leaderboard will update automatically as each individual completes the event.

Registration for the free event is required and may be completed on the event website (racepenguin.com/events/foryourhealth/) through Saturday, July 24.  After registering, participants can download the Real-Time Race Tracking (RTRT.me) app and connect their registration by following the link that will be emailed prior to the event.

Additionally, participants can register for a time slot to run or walk at The Dawes Arboretum on Sunday, July 25, through Wednesday, July 28, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.  Running or walking at The Dawes Arboretum will be limited to 100 participants per day over the four-day period.  All participants have until Wednesday, July 28, to complete the event.
