Community Education: Dining with Diabetes Virtual Cooking Class, April 28

Making smart meal choices is an important part of diabetes management, but healthy eating can be challenging. Dining with Diabetes Virtual Cooking Class will provide a live cooking demonstration for individuals with diabetes and their families.

The class will be held virtually on April 28, from 5:30 - 6:30p.m., and will include a follow-along meal preparation demonstration, with presentations on how to plan a healthy meal.

Dining with Diabetes Virtual Cooking Class is presented by Licking Memorial Hospital in partnership with Ohio State University Extension.  Registered Dietitian Annmarie Thacker, M.S., R.D., L.D., CDCES, and Shari L. Gallup, M.S., CHWC will instruct the class.

A recipe ingredients kit will be available for pick up prior to the class so that participants can cook along with the instructors. This event is free; however, registration is required to receive the link to view the presentation. Please call Licking Memorial Health Systems Public Relations at (220) 564-1560 to register. The deadline to register is Friday, April 23, 2021.
