Community Education: The Facts About Vaping and E-Cigarettes Virtual Program, May 6

Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) and the Licking County Health Department (LCHD), are pleased to partner to offer a virtual education event for community members interested in learning the facts about vaping and e-cigarettes.

Vaping refers to the process of inhaling aerosol through an electronic cigarette, also known as an e-cigarette.  Promoted as a safer alternative to smoking, e-cigarette use is growing at an alarming rate, particularly among youth.  Misconceptions regarding the use of e-cigarettes are widespread with many users unaware of the associated risks.  LMH Tobacco Cessation Counselor Eric West, NCTTP, CHES, and LCHD Health Educator Mary Richardson, CHES, CTTS, will address the latest e-cigarette research and available resources.

The event is free; however, registration is required in order to receive the link to view the registration.  To register, call Licking Memorial Public Relations at (220) 564-1560.
