Gastroenterology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract and liver diseases. Acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, colon polyps, hepatitis and cirrhosis are all examples of illnesses treated. Our practice provides office consultations, hospital care and diagnostic procedures including colonoscopy for the early detection and prevention of colon cancer.

Frances B. Horenstein, M.D., received her Medical Degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines.  She completed an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship at Harlem Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center, New York, New York.  Dr. Horenstein is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

David Subler, M.D., earned his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Subler is board certified as a Diplomate with the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American Board of Internal Medicine, subspecialty of gastroenterology.

Kari M. Vance, APRN-CNP, earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Ohio University in Athens and a Master of Science in nursing degree from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.  She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
