Wellness Centers

To ensure that wellness services are more accessible to community members, Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) offers two Wellness Centers to qualified community members and to all LMHS employees. The Licking Memorial Wellness Centers promote healthy lifestyles for mature adults with or without a chronic disease.

The Wellness Centers are not fitness gyms. They are monitored by members of the Licking Memorial Community Case Management team, who will demonstrate how to use the equipment, monitor workouts and create a personalized exercise plan that begins slowly and increases gradually, as tolerated.

Community Member Eligibility
In order to utilize the Licking Memorial Wellness Centers, a community member must:

Receive a primary care physician’s referral
Be medically stable
Be able to function independently in a class setting

Additionally, members of the public must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Age 60 or older
Chronic health concern
Severe weight problem with a body mass index greater than or equal to 31.1 (male), or greater than or equal to 32.0 (female), (Note: Weight cannot exceed 400 pounds).
Upon receiving a physician’s referral, please call to schedule an appointment.

Exercise Equipment
The Licking Memorial Wellness Center at the LM Medical Campus offers treadmills, elliptical, Nu-Step, stationary bicycles, arm bicycles, universal weight-lifting equipment and free weights.

The Licking Memorial Wellness Center at C-TEC offers treadmills, elliptical, Nu-Step, stationary bicycles, a recumbent bicycle, universal weight-lifting equipment and free weights.
