The LMH Wound Clinic provides and coordinates a convenient, complete and cost-effective wound care service for the community. Our Clinic is primarily an outpatient service, supported by physicians specifically trained in chronic wound care and is staffed by registered nurses who are also specially trained and certified in wound care.

The LMH Wound Clinic serves patients in the community who require care for many types of chronic or complicated wounds, including:
  • Diabetic and venous stasis ulcers
  • Burns
  • Wounds from injury or surgery
  • Open and/or infected wounds
  • Bed sores
  • Irritated skin or sores around an ostomy
  • Other kinds of wounds that have difficulty healing

We help patients try to prevent problems with wounds, and teach them and their family members about wound care and/or ostomy care at home. There are a variety of ways to treat wounds, and LMH uses the latest dressings, procedures and ostomy appliances to help reach your healing goal. We take referrals from your primary care physician (PCP) or other attending physicians or specialists. Our staff creates a custom program based on each patient’s needs, working with their physician, surgeon, diabetic instructor, dietician, physical therapist, outpatient clinic or home care professionals as needed.
