Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) offers services in the Outpatient Clinic for routine injections, intravenous and other procedures. The Clinic is overseen by the Emergency Department Manager and staffed by registered nurses skilled in intravenous therapies, administering blood transfusions and a variety of other treatments and injections. 
 
Treatments and procedures done in the Outpatient Clinic include:
  • Intravenous fluid infusions
  • Intravenous antibiotic infusions
  • Iron infusions
  • Other disease-specific medication infusions
  • Transfusions of blood, platelet and other blood products
  • Rabies injections
  • Phlebotomies (therapeutic bleeding)
  • Drawing blood from and/or rinsing implanted ports and other implanted IV access lines
  • Intramuscular injections
  • Foley catheter insertions and changes
  • PICC line care
  • Osteoporosis infusions
  • Seasonal flu shots

Beds and recliners are available, patients may receive nourishment and restrooms are convenient and wheelchair accessible. The nurse will assist you if additional laboratory or other testing is needed at the time of your visit. All patients receive complete discharge instructions and/or follow-up appointments on the first visit.
